His background includes roles as senior advisor to the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Senior Vice President Emerging Market Research and Country Risk Management, sustainability strategy implementation and E&S risk management. Reputed for providing strategic analyses, forecasts, and insight to senior management to capture new financial opportunities, penetrate new markets, and expand product portfolios.

Khalid is one of the founding fathers of Sustainable Development within ABNAMRO, Global Compact Netherlands, OECD EMNet and of the Netherland Financial Exchange. He contributed to the International Institute of Finance’s Principles for Stable Capital Flows and Fair Debt Restructuring in Emerging Markets. He has numerous publications on his names and is a well respected speaker at International Conferences.

Khalid holds a Post-Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from Tilburg Institute of Academic Studies and a Masters Degree in Development Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
